About
Hannah Fakhri, a 2022 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University in Doha, Qatar, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. She is furthering her academic journey by pursuing a PGCE degree focusing on teaching Design Technology. As a current artist in residence at the Doha Fire Station, Hannah immerses herself in the vibrant artistic community, continually drawing inspiration from her surroundings to explore childhood nostalgia.
With a passion for conceptual design and publishing, Hannah dedicates her design exploration to world-building and poster design research projects. She delves into the natural connections between stories, unravelling the threads that intricately bind narratives and their ability to connect us to a specific place. Her artistic endeavours transcend traditional boundaries, seeking to bridge the gap between imagination and tangible expression.
Hannah's commitment to the arts and design extends beyond her personal practice. She served as a Senior Exhibition Curator in collaboration with the US Embassy and VCUQ, contributing to the curation of the "Cultural Fusion" exhibition for the Year of Culture 2021: USA/Qatar. Through her multifaceted roles as a designer, artist, and educator, Hannah Fakhri continues to weave a narrative that intertwines creativity, cultural exchange, and the transformative power of design.
